Instrument

So you have your Private Pilot's license but are ready for more challenge. The IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) rating is for you! This rating allows you to fly in less than perfect weather conditions where instrument navigation is needed. FAA Training Minimums: hold at least a private pilot license; log 50 hours of pilot-in-command cross-country time; have 40 hours instrument instruction; and pass a written and a practical test.
